The Spokane LION is a private, member only, non-funded, non-funding friendship.

MISSION

 The member's mission is to identify and facilitate ways members can put their money to work growing sustainable local businesses and jobs in the Spokane region.

Members support the following:
  • Triple Bottom Line: Members invest in businesses which expand triple bottom line, motivates ecological and social performance, and maximizes long term sustainability.
     
  • Slow Money: Members are patient and provide nurture capital, seeking both qualitative and quantitative returns, which makes significant impact on the local economy.
     
  • Locally Owned & Operated: Members invest in locally owned and operated businesses which remain locally based, rather than selling out to a non-locally based owner. This helps maintain local sustainability.
     
  • Local Self-Reliance: Member investments help build a self-reliant, sustainable future for our community by filling the gaps in our local economy, targeting the development of businesses that represent sectors, products, and services that are missing or under-served.
